Table of Contents

1. Watermelon Mint Lemonade

This thirst-quencher is made from lemonade and watermelon syrup. A fresh sprig of mint adds a refreshing, pretty touch. Both my husband and I voted the Watermelon Mint Lemonade as a favorite among Royal Caribbean’s non-alcoholic cocktails.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

A fresh and sweet fleetwide favorite.

Tropical Crush Royal Caribbean mocktail
Tropical Crush (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

2. Tropical Crush

Of the official Royal Caribbean mocktails, the Tropical Crush boasts the strongest flavor of the bunch. It was formulated to taste like a Sour Patch Kids candy in a glass. This tangy, sweet drink with a tropical flair combines pineapple juice, mango, and Red Bull Yellow Edition. Order this caffeinated mocktail with breakfast or whenever you want a bright boost of energy.

Rating: 2 out of 5.

A punchy, sweet‑tart mocktail for fans of bold flavors and Red Bull.

All Aboard Spritz on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas
All Aboard Spritz (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

3. All Aboard Spritz

This is a great refresher to kick off your cruise. Made with lime juice, cranberry juice, desert pear syrup, and club soda — it’s vibrant and flavorful, yet still light. Order one poolside for a fancy way to hydrate.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This bright spritz is refreshing enough to drink all day long.

Citrus Tonic at the Schooner Bar

4. Citrus Tonic

This is a verrrry tart mocktail. Crafted with lemon juice, sparkling grapefruit, and my favorite flavor — elderflower tonic — I thought I would love Royal Caribbean’s Citrus Tonic, but it proved too acidic for my taste buds. If you’re ready to pucker up, order one of these.

Rating: 2 out of 5.

A zingy drink for serious citrus lovers.

Royal Caribbean Berry Press Mocktail
Berry Press (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

5. Berry Press

Concocted from strawberries, lavender syrup, lemon juice, and club soda, this mocktail is candy-sweet. It sure does look pretty, though. To tone down the flavors, ask for it with extra bubbly water.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

A playful and very berry strawberry beverage.

Passion Starlight cruise mocktal
Passion Starlight (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

6. Passion Starlight

Another sweet treat, Passion Starlight is blended from lemon juice, pineapple juice, lemonade, and passion fruit syrup. The Royal Caribbean menu says it’s supposed to come topped with fresh mint, but mine was garnished with pineapple. The passion fruit flavor added a fun kick. If you shy away from syrupy drinks, ask for soda water to dilute this mocktail a bit.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A tart and sugary taste of the tropics with passion fruit flair.

Royal Caribbean's Crave the Wave mocktail
Crave the Wave (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

7. Crave the Wave

If you like lemonade but want to kick up the zip, this Royal Caribbean mocktail is for you. Guava, watermelon syrup, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and club soda make a lively, drinkable Jolly Rancher of sorts.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A lively, tangy mocktail that’s bold but not overpowering.

Tiger's Tale zero proof cocktail
Tiger’s Tale (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

8. Tiger’s Tale

Although the soft pink hue of this zero-proof drink looks enticing, there were too many flavors competing for my attention. My husband, however, argued that Tiger’s Tail would make a great poolside drink. It’s formulated from coconut and watermelon syrups, lemon juice, club soda, mint, strawberry, and watermelon.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

A tempting poolside potion, or too many flavors for comfort?

Coconut Lime Refresher Royal Caribbean zero proof drink
Coconut Lime Refresher (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

9. Coconut Refresher

This is, I am afraid to report, both my husband and my least favorite Royal Caribbean mocktail. Coconut syrup, lime juice, lemonade, and fresh mint combine to make a very coconutty drink indeed. Although I typically love coconut, the syrup overpowered this drink.

Rating: 1 out of 5.

A citrusy concoction for serious coconut lovers only.

Espresso No-Tini, one of Royal Caribbean's best mocktails
Espresso No-Tini (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

10. Espresso No-Tini

This elegant coffee drink is one of several spirit-free cocktails on Royal Caribbean ships made with Seedlip non-alcoholic spirits. As a mocktail connoisseur, I found that these branded botanical blends added a sort of magical depth to the beverages without making them taste like alcohol. The Espress No-Tini is shaken with Seedlip Spice 94, chai tea concentrate, espresso mix, and half & half. This was my husband’s pick for the best Royal Caribbean mocktail, and he couldn’t stop ordering these caffeinated beauties on our last cruise. This makes a great after-dinner drink, or a delicious sipper anytime you need a little pick-me-up.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

A sophisticated and delicious coffee mocktail.

Royal Caribbean Mai Spice Mocktail
Mai Spice (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

11. Mai Spice

Although I’m not a fan of traditional Mai Tai cocktails (too strong for my taste), I fell in love with Royal Caribbean’s virgin Mai Spice. In fact, this gets my vote for the best Royal Caribbean mocktail. Made with Seedlip Grove 42 non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, tropical purée, and ginger beer, this is a fruity drink without being cloyingly sweet. It reminded me of a grown-up, complex version of the old-school Orange Julius.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

My Royal Caribbean favorite mocktail! Tastes like a luxurious Orange Julius.

Royal Caribbean Lush Life mocktail
Lush Life (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

12. Lush Life

Crafted with Seedlip Garden 108 non-alcoholic spirit, lemon juice, blueberry purée, and club soda, this drink was lovely and refreshing but lacked some of the depth of flavor of the other Royal Caribbean Seedlip mocktails.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A smooth, blueberry-flavored mocktail with a lighter flavor profile.

Peach Perfect, one of the best mocktails I've ever tasted
Peach Perfect (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

13. Peach Perfect

The name of this Royal Caribbean mocktail is spot on, with perfectly peachy flavors that shine through without overwhelming the palate. It’s made with Seedlip Grove 42 non-alcoholic spirit, peach purée, lemon juice, and pineapple juice.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Elegant, lush peach flavors for discerning mocktail drinkers.

Mule Kickback mocktail on a Royal Caribbean Casino
Mule Kickback (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

14. Mule Kickback

This mocktail blends Seedlip 42 non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, tropical purée, and ginger beer for mule-inspired flavors. It definitely channels a classic Moscow Mule, but the citrus hit was too bold for my taste. If you prefer something gentler, try ordering a ginger beer with a couple of lime wedges instead.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

A tart, tropical twist on the traditional Moscow Mule.

Blind Tiger Lavender French 75
Blind Tiger Lavender French 75 (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

15. Blind Tiger Lavender French 75

Royal Caribbean offers a few spirit-free sparkling canned drinks from Blind Tiger, a company known for creating speakeasy-style cocktails, minus the alcohol. I liked them so much, I ordered a multipack for delivery to my house. (Here’s my Blind Tiger affiliate link for which I earn a small commission at no cost to you.)

Blind Tiger’s floral twist on a French 75 sparkling wine cocktail reminds me of a white wine spritzer or a dry glass of Champagne. It’s crisp, bubbly, and feels rawther fancy. This would pair perfectly with food.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Pop the bubbly, but skip the hangover.

Blind Tiger Mojito aboard a Royal Caribbean Cruise

16. Blind Tiger Southside Mojito

Blind Tiger’s Southside Mojito mashes up two classics: the Southside gin cocktail and the Mojito rum, lime, and mint libation. It would be even better with some fresh mint and limes, and I bet your trusty Royal Caribbean bartender would be happy to provide those for you.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A refreshing Southside‑meets‑mojito mocktail with room to dress it up.

Blind Tiger Side Car Mimosa
Blind Tiger Sidecar Mimosa (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

17. Blind Tiger Sidecar Mimosa

Another mash-up, Blind Tiger combines the festivity of a mimosa with the sophistication of a Brandy Sidecar. This one threw me for a loop because I missed the fusion intention and was expecting straight-up mimosa flavors. As far as canned mocktails go, though, this is for sure a winner.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A Sidecar–meets‑mimosa fusion that might surprise you.

Goombay Smash Mocktail at the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas

18. Goombay Smash Mocktail

This frozen orange-and-pineapple concoction is a Bahamian classic. Many cruises get their with rum, so be sure to order yours as a mocktail if that’s what you’re craving. Tangy and bright, Royal Caribbean’s Goombay Smash reminded me of a frozen fruity margarita.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

An orange‑and‑pineapple frozen drink for anyone who wants a margarita‑style mocktail.

Royal Caribbean Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri
Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

19. Virgin Daiquiri

Royal Caribbean blends up fruit-flavored daiquiris for your sipping pleasure. Choose from raspberry, peach, strawberry, lime, and wild berry — all available with or without alcohol. Often, these are topped with fresh fruit or a maraschino cherry. Just don’t go bananas when your bartender tells you there are no banana daiquiris to be had.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

For a frozen, sweet treat, you can’t beat a classic.

Alcohol-free piña colada on Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas

20. Virgin Piña Colada

Nothing says vacation quite like this beloved concoction made from pineapple juice and coconut cream. It’s rich, tropical, and feels like a special treat. For even more flavor, ask for a Virgin Miami Vice, a half Piña Colada, half Strawberry Daiquiri mixture in one glass.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Tastes like a tropical vacation in a glass.

A no alchohol alternative to a mojito, the Royal Caribbean Blueberry Nojito
Blueberry Nojito (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

21. Blueberry Nojito

Royal Caribbean’s Blueberry Nojito is crafted from blueberry purée, lime juice, simple syrup, and soda water, then topped with fresh mint. It’s a pleasantly sweet sipper, made more fun with the muddled fruit. You might spot this offering as a featured Royal Caribbean’s Main Dining Room “Mocktail of the Night.” I actually prefer this original to the similar and newer Lush Life mocktail included above.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A refined option for fruit lovers.

Shirley Ginger mocktail onboard Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas

22. Shirley Ginger

This zippy mocktail is made with orange juice, grenadine, lime juice, and ginger ale. Although it’s no longer included on the primary Royal Caribbean bar menus, you might see it in the Main Dining Room’s “Mocktail of the Night” rotation.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

A seriously sour and sweet drink for those who don’t fear a lot of flavor.

Strawberry Limeade Royal Caribbean non-alcoholic beverage
Strawberry Limeade (Photo credit: Colleen Lanin)

23. Strawberry Limeade

Part of Royal Caribbean’s legacy Zero Proof hits, this light and zingy drink is no longer on primary drink menus, but bartenders are happy to make it when ingredients are available. This mocktail is a great choice on a hot day on the pool deck. It’s created with strawberry purée, lime juice, and club soda.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

A nice light balance of fruity, tangy, and refreshing.

Shirley Temple

24. Shirley Temple

The favorite fancy drink of children and teetotalers since the 1930s, you can’t go wrong with a Shirley Temple. Lemon-lime soda, grenadine, and a maraschino cherry combine in this traditional mocktail.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Gotta love this timeless mocktail.

Roy Rogers or Cherry Coke aboard Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas

25. Roy Rogers

This classic cherry cola drink is simply cola mixed with grenadine and topped with a maraschino cherry. But it sounds way more fun when you order a Roy Rogers, doesn’t it?!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

More festive and flavorful than canned cherry colas.

Virgin Mary Mocktail

26. Virgin Mary

It’s the breakfast drink of champions who don’t want to fall asleep before noon: the Virgin Mary. This booze‑free Bloody Mary is made with tomato juice and Royal Caribbean’s signature spice blend for a zesty and healthy beverage at sea.

I don’t drink Bloody Marys, but cruisers say Royal’s are better if you ask for extra seasoning.

Cranberries and blueberries
Cranberry juice and blueberry purée come together in a Berry Necessary (Photo credit: Berry Necessary, Depositphotos.com)

27. Berry Necessary

It may be necessary, but I missed it. Berry Necessary stirs together cranberry juice, blueberry purée, lime juice, and ginger beer. I’m guessing the sweetness from the blueberries and spiciness from the ginger beer counterbalance the tartness of the cranberry and lime. I’ll report after my next Royal Caribbean Cruise.

No rating yet, but I bet it’s a berry banger.

Yuzu fruits
Yuzu fruits are a puréed part of the Yuzu Sunrise (Photo credit: manbo-photo, Depositphotos.com)

28. Yuzu Sunrise

Apparently, I didn’t get up early enough to catch the Yuzu Sunrise, which is created with orange juice, yuzu purée, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. This is one of the only Royal Caribbean mocktails I missed, and it’s too bad because I love yuzu in drinks. The purée is made from yuzu fruit, a Japanese and Korean citrus known for its unique flavor that combines grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin notes.

I haven’t tasted this one yet, but it sounds sunny and sour.

29. Non-Alcoholic Wine

Royal Caribbean has expanded its Zero Proof offerings to include several wine alternatives. Cruisers must be of legal drinking age to order these alcohol-free drinks. Look for these non-alcoholic wines on the official fleetwide menu:

  • Natureo Sparkling (Spain)
  • Cero Coma Blanco (Spain)
  • Ariel Chardonnay (California)
  • Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon (California)
  • Natureo Syrah (Spain)

I’ve never really been a fan of low-alcohol and alcohol-free wines, but my husband and I went ahead and ordered a round while on board our last Royal Caribbean Cruise. His cabernet arrived looking cloudy and a bit “off,” so we skipped tasting it (likely a sign the bottle had been open too long due to low turnover of these specialty drinks). My chardonnay looked fine, but it didn’t really taste like wine to me, and I’d personally rather enjoy one of the many delightful mocktails on this list instead. Having said all that, I was pleasantly surprised by the Natureo Sparkling Wine, which I review below.

Natureo Sparkling Wine

This sparkling wine alternative was light, effervescent, and genuinely tasty. Honestly, I wouldn’t have known it was alcohol-free if no one told me. When my glass was half empty, I asked the bartender to top me off with orange juice and enjoyed an altogether very good virgin mimosa.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

A surprisingly good alcohol-free alternative to sparkling wine.

30. Non-Alcoholic Beers

Beer lovers who want to sip a brew without getting buzzed will appreciate Royal’s selection of 0.0% beers. Note: Cruisers must be of legal drinking age to order alcohol-free beers. Non-alcoholic beer selection may vary across the fleet, but below are some brands you might see on board:

  • Heineken 0.0.
  • Blue Moon NA Belgian White
  • Sam Adams NA Just the Haze IPA
  • Bud Zero
  • Corona Cero
  • Athletic Brewing 0.0.

I’m not typically a beer drinker, so I did not sample these.

Other Royal Caribbean Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Of course, you could stick to standard non-alcoholic drinks while sailing with Royal Caribbean, too. Fountain sodas, energy drinks, teas, juices, drip coffee, and premium coffees are available. Kids can order all of these (as well as the standard mocktails) without any age restriction.

Fruit Juices

  • Cranberry
  • Grapefruit Juice
  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Apple
  • Strawberry Kiwi
  • Lemonade
  • Fruit Punch

Coffee Drinks

When sailing with Royal Caribbean, you can order drip coffee (regular or decaffeinated) for free or pay extra for specialty coffees, like lattes and cappuccinos. Look for a selection of syrups in flavors like hazelnut, cinnamon, vanilla, and more to add some pizazz to your cuppa Joe.

Also, on some larger Royal Caribbean ships, you’ll find Starbucks coffee shops selling all your favorites from Macchiatos to Frappuccinos and beyond.

Soft Drinks and Energy Drinks

  • Coca-Cola
  • Diet Coke
  • Coca-Cola Zero
  • Sprite
  • Ginger Ale
  • Fanta Orange
  • Tonic
  • Red-Bull Energy Drink (Regular, Sugar-Free, or Yellow Edition)

Royal Caribbean Drink Prices

Complimentary Royal Caribbean drinks include drip coffee, milk, lemonade, iced tea, and (not fresh-squeezed) breakfast juices.

If you’d like to drink sodas, fresh-squeezed juices, bottled waters, wine, beer, specialty cocktails, specialty coffees, and mocktails — then you’ll have to pay extra. Based on current fleetwide menus for 2025-2026, drink prices on Royal Caribbean cruises typically range from $3.50 for bottled water and soda to $7-$8 for standard mocktails, $10 for Seedlip mocktails, $14-$16 for cocktails, and $8-$22 for a glass of wine. You can pay as you go or purchase a discounted unlimited drink package upfront.

Royal Caribbean Drink Packages

All Royal Caribbean cruise ships offer an array of Beverage Packages, so you’ll never go thirsty at sea. In addition to saving on individual drink costs, the best part is that you can relax and enjoy your Royal cruise without worrying about money, since drinks are prepaid. Before sailing, keep your eyes open for special deals on Royal Caribbean Beverage Packages.

Whether a Royal Caribbean drink package is a good deal really comes down to what you like to drink, how much you’ll actually consume, and which package you’re looking at. Prices per day also vary a lot depending on the ship, sailing length, and time of year. As a rule of thumb, most cruisers break even on the Deluxe Beverage Package at around 5–6 alcoholic drinks per day, while the Refreshment Package usually pays for itself with about 5–7 mocktails, specialty coffees, juices, or bottled waters per day.

Royal Caribbean drink packages are honored at Royal Caribbean International bars, cafés, lounges, Windjammer Café, the Main Dining Room, specialty restaurants, Johnny Rockets, and on Perfect Day at CocoCay and Labadee. 1. This will be my first time on an RC cruise and this article was very helpful. Usually when on another cruise line I just take soda on board because I don’t drink alcohol. For this cruise I told my husband that I didn’t want to carry on sodas this time, and I was going to look at the drink options. Thanks to your list of mocktails, I plan on trying most of them and my husband was excited to. He will probably buy 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks outright just to save money.

    1. Erin – I hope you enjoy the mocktails as much as I did. It really is so much more fun to order a fruity beverage on a cruise than boring ol’ soda if you ask me. Have a wonderful time on your Royal Caribbean Cruise and I hope you’ll let me know which mocktail is your favorite!

  2. With diabetes in mind, can I get a calorie approximate for the mocktails! Expecting them to be very high and looking for better options!
    Cheers

    1. Hi Mary – I’m so sorry but I don’t think Royal Caribbean offers a calorie count for the mocktails. As far as the specialty Zero Proof drinks go, I’d say the Strawberry Limeade is the least sugary. For the Tropical Crush, you could order it with a sugar-free Red Bull to cut calories. A Roy Rogers with Diet Coke or Coke Zero might be a good option, too?!
